Report new policies or practices to increase Wolverine Worldwide’s climate ambitions and emission-reduction goals, including potential GHG reduction targets and a transition plan.
The proposal requests that Wolverine report any new policies or practices that would increase its climate ambitions and goals to reduce its impact on climate change, beyond current efforts, at reasonable cost and excluding proprietary information. It asks the Company to consider adopting GHG reduction targets or goals for renewable energy, energy efficiency, fleet electrification, supply chain engagement, and other measures, and to consider criteria from advisory groups such as the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the Transition Plan Taskforce and CDP. The proponent states Wolverine has disclosed a 2023 Scope 1 and 2 inventory and is collecting Scope 3 data but has not yet set company-wide climate targets, and that certain peers have set SBTi-validated targets. The proposal therefore requests a report describing any new policies, targets or transition plans the Company will pursue to address climate-related risks and opportunities.
